I can’t quite believe any of this.

 I am worried and frightened. The Democrats control the White House and both chambers. They were going to drive through as many  left wing ideas as possible before this- look at the insanity of the gender definitions that they rushed through on Monday, the first day of the new Congress. Now they will use today’s insanity- what the HELL were those people thinking???-  as an excuse to push through laws that will noticeably reduce our freedoms and our way of life. I didn’t think things could get worse than Creepy Joe and HoHarris being elected, but today was a massive “hold my beer”. I really am seriously concerned and a bit frightened, and I’m glad we live in a red state- it may hold the worst off a bit longer. But I have no doubt that things are looking grim. 

2021 and hoping it gets better.

 So, here we sit more than 2 months since my first and only post. Not a terrific start to keeping a new blog. Of course, the fact that I didn’t share that post anywhere might account for its remaining unread. Hopefully I’ll start doing better. 

Tomorrow is January 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany, the Three Kings, 12th Night and many other names. It is regarded as the close of the Christmas season. Sadly, it has pretty much disappeared in modern society. Way too many people see December as the Christmas season. I said nothing, but I overheard a woman at my cardiac rehab center the other day telling how she took down her Christmas decorations on December 26th because she was “tired of them”. So sad. 

The picture below is from Christmas Eve- when we had just finished decorating the tree. It was a lovely evening. Both kids were here and they got along! Yes, that warrants an exclamation point, lol. The tree is still up- we will take it down tomorrow or later this week. We really enjoyed it, and I hope we don’t get around to taking it down until at least the weekend.
